Tohru and the Sohma members are at the family's summerhouse. Alas, it's not all fun in the sun on this little trip. Akito pays a surprise visit, causing a commotion for the rest of the family.

Yuki arrives early to a student council meeting only to come upon the two newest members: the annoyingly talkative Manabe Kakeru and quiet/docile Kuragi Machi. Yuki takes an immediate dislike to this brash, egotistical guy and is suspicious as to why Machi was going through the council documents.

Tohru and company have been having a lot more fun since Kisa came to visit. Now it's time for Tohru to meet another member of the Zodiac- the skillfully sarcastic grade-school student Hiro.

Summer is on its way; Tohru and friends are excited about the coming vacation and field trip. Hatsuharu, in Black-mode, is going beserk in the classroom. What will happen when Yuki intervenes? Ritsu, daughter of the Sohma's hot spring proprietress arrives.

The Sohma household takes to the lake for a vacation at their summerhouse. However the peaceful silence is deafening, as Yuki and Kyo are once again not on speaking terms. Will Tohru's klutzy kindness get the duelling duo back to their old cat-and-mouse antics once again?

The Souma family and Tohru are still at the Souma family's vacation house. Kureno is introduced as the Bird zodiac to Tohru, and Akito reveals that he is the 'god' who controls the entire 12 animals. From that point on, Tohru vows to protect all the 12 zodiacs to lead them through a normal life.
