Typescript. There is a set of embroidered 17th century bed hangings in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum which are attributed to Abigail Pett. The author suggests that this is a pseudonym, and that the embroidery work was actually done by ladies of the family of Peter Pett, who was Commissioner of Chatham Dockyard at the time of the Dutch raid on the Medway in 1667.
