This is a biography of Gundulf from his birth in Rouen to his death in Rochester in 1108. It includes information about his contemporaries Lanfranc, and Anselm, Bishops of Canterbury from 1067 and 1089 respectively. The exhibition concentrates upon Gundulf's years as Bishop of Rochester and covers many of the building projects initiated by him, including the cathedral church in Rochester, St. Bartholomew's Chapel Rochester and West Malling Abbey.
