Was it really possible to fall in love at first sight? As soon as Elise Mylor saw Owen Wendron, she knew the answer instantly. But it seems her feelings can never be reciprocated. Interviewing her as a prospective nanny for his three-year-old son, Ben, Owen mentions his wife Helen every time he speaks. So why, then, is she never around? And why does Ben have nightmares and walk in his sleep? Elise longs to be able to look after the little boy, and his father too, but their happiness depends on the elusive Helen Wendron . . .
