Grace Thompson was born in Barry, South Wales. After her children grew up, she qualified as a nursery nurse and worked with children in care and in schools. Then, following six years in Berkshire, she moved back to South Wales, and now spends her mornings walking the cliffs and beaches of Mumbles and the Gower with her Welsh collie.
